How to Make Avocado Thin Roll Sushi

One way to enjoy Japanese food is to prepare the different dishes yourself. Here’s how to make the avocado hoso-maki. This maki is very easy to make and is also made with very basic and inexpensive ingredients. I miss that it is appreciated since Japanese restaurants are a bit expensive. In the following article we will give you the recipe for how to make avocado hoso-maki. For 12 pieces.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 bunch of chives.
  • 1 ripe avocado.
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice.
  • 1 sheet of nori seaweed.
  • 200 g of prepared sushi rice.
  • 1 tablespoon of wasabi.

Steps to follow to make this recipe:

  1. The first thing you have to do is prepare the chives. Rinse it off and shake off excess water.
  2. Peel the avocado, cut it in half lengthwise and pit it off. Cut the meat into 1 cm thick strips. Sprinkle them immediately with lemon juice.
  3. Cut the nori seaweed with the scissors. Place half the sheet with the smooth side down on a bamboo mat, spread half of the prepared sushi rice on top and squeeze lightly.
  4. Spread the rice with half the wasabi and distribute over the lower third of the rice half of the avocado and chives. Roll up the nori sheet with the help of the mat. Make a second roll with the remaining ingredients. Cut each one into 6 equal portions.
