How to cook fish roe

  • 2 salad tomatoes.
  • ½ red pepper.
  • 1 onion.
  • Olive oil.
  • Vinegar.
  • Salt.

Preparation:

First you must take the kilo of roe, put salt and wrap them in a thin kitchen cloth, this is so that when you cook them they do not break. Once you have cooked them and they are cold, you must cut them into slices, arrange in a source and return to salt. Next, you can prepare the vegetables for the vinaigrette. You should cut the red pepper and onion into very small pieces. Take a bowl and put the vinegar, oil and mix everything well together with all the chopped vegetables. Then pour all the vinaigrette over the roe and let it sit in the fridge for at least 3 hours to absorb all the flavor.

Fish roe with priñaca.

To enjoy another way of cooking fish roe, we propose this very traditional recipe, which is usually served in portions or tapas and above all, it is made with cod.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 kilo of fresh cod roe.
  • 1 tomato.
  • 1 onion.
  • 1 cucumber.
  • 1 green pepper.
  • Sherry vinegar.
  • Olive oil.
  • Salt.

Preparation:

  • 3 tablespoons minced roe.
  • 1 egg.

Take the roe and cook it with the 2 bay leaves, the salt, the olive oil and the green peppercorns. Let them remain in the water until they harden a bit, while you can go sautéing the garlic in a pan. Once the roe is cooked, chop a part and season with oil, salt and black pepper. The other half of the roe should be fried with the garlic. Finally, beat the egg and add to the mixture to cook everything together. Simple as that! Now you can enjoy this delicious omelette with a very different touch.

  • 100 ml of dough to prepare fritters.
  • 5 tablespoons of finely chopped roe.
